I am having problems getting directx 9 to download. Keep getting the message "Setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection." This happens both at home and at work (Windows XP both places) and at different times of day (even tried it very late Saturday night). Any tricks?
 
you cant, they removed the files.

you can go to the rage3d forums, there is a link somwhere there to a few paged with the directx9 sdk kit which includes directx9, thats how I had to do it
 
First off I'd just say it's a MICROSLOP Beta don't bother with it.

Second the problem is likely that they've either disabled the DL or that there really are that many keener's out there trying to grab it.
