Directx 9 support?

Does the Diamond Stealth S80 - ATI Radeon 9200SE support Directx 9? I want to play World of Warcraft on it (upgrade my 7000). But the sys requirements say this: DirectX® 9.0c or above

So will it work?

Oh yes World of Warcraft will work, but you might not be able to see all of the new effects and such. I don't think that card is FULLY compliant with DirectX 9.0c but I could be wrong. One thing we know it doesn't have is SM3.0, which came with version c, but that's not something to worry about, especially for a game like WoW.

Remember: The game wants DirectX9.0c, but it will work with DirectX 7 cards most likely, and 8, etc.

The game just needs the directX 9.0C software installed, it doesn't need a DX9 complient card to play it. You should be able to play wow with that card, but you will probably have to turn the settings way down.

an ATI 9200SE is NOT much faster than your Radeon 7000 card because the "SE" models use 64-BIT ram which kills the performance of that 9200. I'd look into getting a Radeon 9550 128-bit ram. It's only $60 and free shipping.

9200SE:

Directx 8 hardware support
64-Bit Memory interface

Radeon 9550:

Directx 9 hardware support
128-Bit Memory interface

Here's the link:
Chiefvalue MSI Radeon 9550 128MB AGP $60
