SP2 includes DirectX 9.0c. Are you certain you have 9.0b installed?

how can i update my drivers from 9.b to 9.0c without installing SP2 or something...

Why not just install SP2? Your Windows install should always have the latest service packs and security updates installed anyway.

I have tried to installed SP2, Its shows i have already have SP2 installed, but dxdiag still shows the directx 9.b version.. is it some bug???

I have recently installed Latest directx driver from Microsoft's site, installed it properly after restarting the computer, It shows directx 9.b (directx_dec2005_redist.exe)

here's are my computer specs:

Intel 2.4 ghz
intel 845 original MB
80gb HDD
256 DDR ram
17" Samsung sync master

Try uninstalling direct x and reinstalling it with the newer version, or download it again and install it again.

Not that this should effect it and I think it would not, but what video card do you have? I am wondering if this is a DX7 card thing with DX9c. I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

How can i uninstall DirectX9.ob, as Microsft suggest as Its system component, you cant uninstall it, you may reinstall or update driver.... then please let me know how to uninstall or reinstall to get 9.0c

I do not use Video card, the existing board video memory is present, i think its 16MB, I am not using AGP video card on my system

I think you already found the problem then.

If you are talking about solution about reinstalling or updating driver to 9.0c, i already tried it, it doent work, It installs fine, does everything perfect, no error, after i restart my PC, it says 9.0b (I use DXDIAG to check version) It doent update :(

I used directx_dec2005_redist.exe file from microsoft to update the driver

Have you tried installing DirectX in safe mode?

Have you also tried updating your video, audio and motherboard drivers first, then installing DirectX?
