I have a Gigabyte FX5900XT graphics card with official 61.76 Drivers, will installing this version of directx with these drivers which are not WHQL for DirectX 9c give any porformance benifit. I rite now have DirectX 9.b on Windows XP SP1.

In other words, should I install them or should I wait for games to come which require DX 9c, as they generally come with DX

Info here

Don't think it will make much difference on an FX5900. I think this is for Pixel Shader 3.0 and 2.0b stuff that the latest Nvidia and ATI cards use.

Won't hurt to install though, or you could just wait for SP2 as its integrated in that anyway.

That would be a beta or release candidate DirectX 9c. I would install at your own risk. The final DirectX 9c won't be out until Service Pack 2 sometime in mid August from what I understand
