DirectX 8.1 run-time? I can't seem to find it on MS's website.

I wanted to try downgrading from 9.0 to 8.1 since 9.0 runs my games like crap. Can someone help me find the correct 8.1 to download? I use windows xp.

1) You cannot downgrade DirectX.

2) DirectX 8.x is no longer available from Microsoft. You won't be able to find it anywhere.

Do you have a system restore point? Otherwise you cannot downgrade. Try some new drivers for the video card?
