I'm thinking about adding another reciever here for my bedroom(only an extra $5 a month) but I don't know exactly how to connect it. Iv'e seen
this and this on ebay but I don't know which one to get, of if I have to get both, or neither at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Humm the normal way to hook up two receivers is with a dual lnb dish.. which is two coax outputs from the dish. I have two dtv receivers here and they are hooked up this way.. works great

Well I may also be thinking of adding another one in another room as well. That's a total of 3 recievers so Im a little confused...

My cousins dish has 4 coaxial outputs on it, maybe you should look into one of those.

Yes... With four receivers, of course.

If you have a dual-LNB dish you need a multiswitch. The multiswitch will allow up to 12 or 16 receivers to be connected to one dish. Course, there are also 4 and 8 output models and some inbetween, etc. That's the key component.

Yes, doing a dish swap is another option, and it may be your cheapest solution. Call Directv and tell them you want to get the NASA channel. I did back around Xmas, and they did the swap for $15 installed. I also needed a line ran for my Directivo, so you might be able to have the same done.

I should also let you know.. a friend of mine just got a bell sat system professionally installed.. its only a single LNB dish and they just hooked one wire up from the dish to his cable box.. he has three receivers hooked up to it and they all work fine

For DTV you need a dual lnb, then a multiswitch if wanting to do more than 2 different receivers. It can't be a single lnb.
