DISCLAIMER: I googled for about 15mins and I found some info but I'm still pretty unsure of the solution... if anyone has a link to a good FAQ regarding multiswitches/etc, or a good DirecTV forum, let me know.

I'm going to be home for the summer (beginning of june till end of august). We have a dual LNB DirecTV system at home, with 2 receivers. How easy would it be to install a third receiver in my room for the summer? Judging from what I found online it seems I'll need a multiswitch... but is there a chance that the DirecTV installer already put a multiswitch in? If I do need to add a multiswitch, are the cables likely to be easy to access? I have no clue what the installer did... also what size multiswitch would I need? Thanks...

It depends on which dish you have. If it's the standard 18" round, then you will more than likely need to add a multiswitch. However, if it's one of the newer oval dishes, then you should be ok. Which one do you have?
