DirecTV? Dish Network? Which to get?

Going to be getting a new house in mid October(long as the loan goes through). We are discussing options right now for TV. Its a 3 story home and 4 of the rooms would need to have drops for TV's. Previous owners had DSS(dish or directv) in 2 of the rooms and the cabling is still there. Its an older home so there is no cable TV drops anywhere which is fine since the area doesn't have cable internet or digital cable yet.

So, which should I get? Any bad/horrible things to overlook? What kinda costs would I be looking at if I wanted 4 drops and maybe a Tivo/Replay unit as one? What about this new merger....should I wait and just see if they combine to get similar channels and new units?

Kinda shopped around and am leaning more towards Dish Network....

Thanks in advance

I have Dish and the reason I got it was because thier package is better and they have a top50 which is what I have now for 22.99. IT includes everythign I watch except for an occational fox sports football game and FX, No more married with children re-runs for me. But other than that its a great package.

I like football...pretty much the only sport I do watch. Yet, I only catch a game here and there. If i could only get a few games I would be happy. :)

That's what I figured since I planned on getting the local channels here in Pitts. I would catch the teams I care about (Steelers, WVU, ect)

That's kinda what I am waiting on...it would be great to end up with free or nearly free boxes and maybe some DSL service through DirecTDSL (or whatever they call it after they merge).

We priced it out and went with DirecTV in the end. With DN you rent the equiptment, and with DirecTV you own it. Plus it was was only $35 for the 2 room package.

Were very happy with it, only complaint is i wish we could channel surf with it :)
