Just got my install done today. When I try to watch any of the premium channels on my living room TV I get a message that "Your TV does not support this program's content protection." It works fine on my other TVs. This setup worked fine on Dish Network + HBO. My receiver is an Onkyo HT-S6100 and the TV is a Samsung FPT-5084. Each of those should support HDCP. Any ideas?

Have you tried going directly to the TV and not through the receiver?

Also what type of cable did they use to make the connection? HDMI, Component, etc

Figured it out. The order in which devices are turned on affects the handshake process. The Logitech Harmony wizard had them defaulting to an order that wouldn't work for my setup. Changed it to TV -> Receiver -> Satellite Box and it works.

Glad I stumbled on this thread. Had the same problem with HBO with Dish. Called Dish and they told me to use component cables because I don't have HDCP supported device. I told her that my Sony BRAVIA XBR55HX929 is only 1 year old and my Onkyo 809 is definitely HDCP supported but she saying I needed component cables. Almost believed her until I read your solution. Beautiful surround sound again:)

I apologize for any inconvenience with that. That does happen sometimes when there's a compatibility issue with the TV, receiver, and amplifier, and it's just a matter of finding a way to bypass the amplifier. If you have any other questions or need help with anything else, please let me know as I'm always here!
