directTV question

im trying to program this damn remote for my tv but the brand isnt there. its cytron...it has every other off name tv brand too, just not this one lol. any ideas?

haha we got it a long time ago, it works fine for what i want and it was cheap. the sorny, pamasonic, and magnetboxes were all sold out already 🙁

Probably out of luck. Older TVs are usually a no-go when it comes to program remotes. I have a Quazar TV in my room (who the hell? 😛) and my DTV remote doesn't work with it. It is actually a real nice TV though that I've had for 10 years or so.

Usually those that think they have a nice TV that's over 10 years old are in denial. My Toshiba was a top set in 1997. It's going to garage duty or CL soon.

thanks, i actually got it to work using code search or something, but it was kind of hidden. the only thing that doesnt work now is input. i would try those codes to see if they work for input, but ive got NO idea where or when to input those. thanks
