Directshow/capture device software?

I have a TV tuner card what the tunder doesn't work on, but I have a box hooked up via S-video that gives me TV.

Is there any decent software for viewing the stream? I'm not to bothered about capturing it.
The included software is pretty poor, and doesn't really have filtering options, and VLC (tried 2 versions) doesn't like working properly.

Are there any other options?

Try Media Player Classic if its got directshow wdm drivers, it should work.

Seems to work a treat, shoulda known MPC would do it

Its my fallback media player for everything...that and graphedit anyway.
