That sucks. Suicide is never the answer and he made some very good movies. It's a shame he didn't get the help he needed.

If the terminal cancer rumor is true, the help he needed doesn't exist. Can't say I blame him for taking the quick and painless way under those circumstances.

If that is the case, I don't blame him then, but I hadn't seen any rumors about it. I'm sure we'll get some more info over the next few days.

I loved Unstoppable, Man On Fire, Spy Game, Enemy Of The State, Crimson Tide, and Top Gun (of course).

He had a brilliant career.

True Romance is actually my favorite one but those are good too. Except spy game, no idea what that one was.

Tony got a bad wrap and was somewhat in the shadow of his brother but all in all his movies were fun!

Top Gun was one of those movies that you smiled trough in almost its entirety.

Cancer sucks

After work today when I get home I am gonna put Top Gun on in my home theater room and watch it with the wife while drinking a pint in his honor

whos with me!

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw this :/ too bad he didn't have a more peaceful way out. Disgusting anti-right-to-die crusaders

I agree. While i think suicide is a bullshit thing. IF you have a terminal disease like cancer or such you should be able to die on your terms.

a 15 yr old blowing his brains out because a chick dumped him? fuck him. all for makeing fun of the useless twat. a guy who has terminal cancer and has a year or two tops? ok i understand.

Jumping off a bridge is more peaceful vs dieing of cancer, also its better for everyone involved as they dont have to see/deal with someone dieing of cancer

true. but those that have to pick your mangled corpse off the rocks have to deal with it.
