Directions to the Hollywood Sign - HELP!!

Hi, I gotta take two Australian tourist to go see the Hollywood sign because they want to take pictures of it. From where can they get a good view of it? I feel bad because I have no idea where it is, and I live in SoCal. I'll probably be going from the 134 freeway, so if anybody could give me specific directions, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

you can see it pretty clearly in Hollywood Bowl. But you would have to go early in the morning or whenever there's not an event there.

go up to griffith park.. if they have nice zoom lens they can take pics of it there.. i dont know how to actually get up there.. it's a good hike i think..

yep, go to griffith park and near the observatory at the top, you can drive there, there is a path that takes you to the Hollywood Sign. If you don't know where it is, just ask someone once you get there. The view in the afternoon sucks because of the smog but at night it's gorgeous.

You can't actually get TO the Hollywood sign, but the closest and best view you'll probably get, is if you go down Beachwood Canyon Drive. It's just off of Franklin in between Gower and Bronson.
