Not sure if this is the right forum, but currently we're operating a website with merchants who rely on our FTP to send us files on a daily basis, and using HostPC isn't really cutting it.

We're looking for a DirectAdmin host to transfer over to, and having phone support is crucial since our site has been down on several occasions now and it takes hours to resolve it, whereas we need immediate service.

HI Syringer,

My company does DirectAdmin hosting.

Do you just need a single account, or would you want a vm with Direct Admin? I can do a fully dedicated, true virtual server with 1GB ram, 20GB hdd space, 5Mbps unmetered bandwidth, and CentOS+ DirectAdmin for under $50 per month.

FWIW, up until WOOT.com was acquired by Amazon a few weeks ago, our company hosted the site. So for the past several years all woot off's were being hosted at the same facility.

It's tempting to be a skeptic here, but I AM curious. What's your company site?

Parent Company - http://cybercon.com

Virtual Server site - http://vServerCenter.com

I have a coupon code to make our basic server with your choice of Linux $1 for the first month. Let me know if you want to take one for a spin. If you need Windows, i have to charge for the license, but you can get Windows WebServer for $13 per month. So it would be $14 total for the first month.

Just wondering, what type of issues are you having. . . I'm having some weekly downtime now, the first time that's happened pretty much in the 5 years I've been with them and I'm anxious to find out what's happening at HostPC?

We were down because we went over our bandwidth, which is to be expected..but there's no phone # to call in, just a ticketing system so we had to wait 5-6 hours before we got back up which wasn't acceptable for what we do.

ahh. . . that's weird, where does that new Toll Free ring? Is it a Sales only line?

makes sense - definitely need quick response when mitigating an issue like that.

BTW: The downtime isn't long for my server just a few minutes, its just becoming a little too common and my double check on the server is only every 60 minutes . . .
