Has anyone else used this ? I have once but I was wondering if anyone tried the new Direct2Drive Comrade or the Download Manager? I always use the manual way. Kinda wish steam had a manual way too. Comrade seems similar to steam but the only difference is your not forced to use it! I never seen it before until recently.

This looks interesting. I picked up a few D2D games last year in the $5 sale but then rebought them on steam sales because I wasn't to thrilled with D2D. I really like the simplicity of Steam. Though if D2D has an equivalent I may have to reconsider.

Why do you like having to install extra software to play your games ? Curious.

No but I reformatted and had to go to their site remember my log on and then download. Also Bioshock had some strange instillation requirements ands I could never get Thief to work correctly at all. If D2D does have an automatic updater/installer though like I said I think i would consider it more.

Oh ok i get it. Yeah is even has it own community I think at least you can add friends and see what games they are playing.

I myself prefer a universal community that way you don't have to have more than one software program installed just for your games. That what sucks Direct2Drive has some games that Steam doesn't so thankfully they give you the option to install them the old fashion way otherwise I wouldn't like running two programs at once to play my games.
