Direct2drive purchases - annoying North American licences

And is there a way to bypass.

I would like to buy the game to keep me going over the next couple of weeks as just had surgey and going to be house bound. So, going out to the store is a problem, so I thought would look it up on Direct2drive.

But it's only for North America (Although I can still pay for and download the game). God knws why their licence only covers North America but anyway....

Is there way to bypass so I can play it? Or do I just have to wait until I can find someone to go out and get it for me?
