i just recently downloaded directx 9 and everyhting was working fine then i downloaded latest soudn card driver for my sound blaster live and then direct sound started screwing upo and now games wont play buit only a few sounds

any help would eb appreciated
 
Interesting, I just downloaded directx 9 today so I could use it with 3dmark2003.
If you don't really need those updated sound drivers you might chuck them and revert back to the older drivers.

If your OS is WinXP it's easy to go back to the previous drivers, or do a system restore.
