Direct TV lost many channels

Indeed. If you're paying more than ~$50/month for it, you're doing it really, really wrong.

Ok then how do I do it right?

I want all the regular channels, discovery channels, history channel, all my other favorites like the smithsonain channel and all the premimum movie channels.

Actually it is the best TV service going for the last 2, maybe 3, years. They have the best hardware, best service, best prices, and the best features.

Oh and MikeL isn't a spambot, he is an actual Dish rep.
best hardware? questionable with directs new HR34, even the HR24 i have now is comparable with the 722. best TV service? hardly, how many HD channels for extra innings? oh wait they do not offer that. how many HD channels for sunday ticket? oh wait they do not have anything like that. overall direct has way more HD than dish and has better picture quality. i should mention i have had both too

I'm glad I didn't switch to Dish last year. They don't seem to care about their customers.
