It depends on the receiver. They will either install the H20 (standard HD receiver), or HR21 (HD DVR), depending on what you ordered. The H20 has one tuner so it only needs one RG6 line. The HD DVR has two tuners so you would need to run two RG6 lines to each location that will have an HD DVR.

The slimline dish they will install has a total of four outputs. You would use one output for a standard receiver, or two outputs for a DVR. If you need more than four total, they will provide an 8 output multiswitch (Zinwell WB68 currently). Only the Zinwell will work with the new HD equipment. With the multiswitch in place you would have 8 outputs total. They also make a 16 port model I believe (the WB616) but I don't know if you'd get that one for free.

If you're prewiring, I would run at least 2 RG6 and 2 Cat5 lines to most places (bedrooms, living room, family room, etc), and run at least one RG6 and one Cat5 to the kitchen.

The dish has four outputs built in, so you can hook up four standard receivers or two DVRs. Any more than that requires a multiswitch.
