Direct comparison for notebook vs desktop CPU?

Looking to purchase a Kaby lake laptop with a I7 7700 hq CPU. Just wondering how it compares to the desktop 7700k or even my i7 2600k. I know there are specs and ghz differences but how does that translate in the real world?
