Direct Cable Connection w/ parallel cable: pinout ?

I have a couple of old parallel cables and I was thinking to make a cable to use with win98 direct cable connection? Does anyone know the pin-out? Or where can I find it?

I tried this before and had no luck. I can tell you right off the bat it is not a straight-through cable. I tried making a cross-over cable, but that didn't work, either. I think the problem with the cross-over cable was that I was going from 9- to 25-pin and I got the wires mixed up somewhere. If you have access to a Linux box, check out section 11.2 of /usr/doc/HOWTO/Text-Terminal-HOWTO. There are several different pinouts for a direct cable connection. Hopefully one of them works.
