Direct Cable Connection / DCC

Hello,
i am having trouble connecting my 2 PCs with DCC. I am using WIN ME (host) and WIN 98 SE (guest).
I read in http://www.helmig.com/j_helmig/dccmain.htm, I need to install the same adapter, client and protocol (NETBEUI). But I couldn't find the NETBEUI protocol in WIN ME. There are only 2 option available in Microsoft Protocol (ATM Call Manager and ATM LAN Emulation Client). My question is:
1. Can I use 1 of the 2 protocol available?
2. How can I get NETBEUI protocol? Is there any website source I could download?

Did you go to the control panel add/remove programs/windows setup tab/communications/details and put a check in the box next to direct cable connection?

Yup, I've already done that. It seemed my Win ME installer is not a complete one. Do you happened to know where I could download driver for Win ME? and also What kind of cable that is fast enough to play games with DCC (without LAN?NETWORK card)?
