hey all, i'm trying to play Halo:CE on my computer. whenever i attempt to run the program, the screen flashes a few times and an in-game dialog pops up saying it's unable to run Direct3D. it asks me to run DXDiag, but when i do, dxdiag detects no problems... i have a radeon 9800.
anybody help me out?
oh, i also played with hardware acceleration at every possible setting, but that didn't fix it. also updated my video drivers. however, once in the process of that, the setup program gave me an error and said it couldn't detect a display device or something. but EVERYTHING is as it should be in the device manager... just guessing it was the setup program.
