I have three computers on a 10base2 network. I want to get directpc (no chance of cable or dsl here) and share the semi-broadband connection among the three computers. The one computer is used mainly to play online games (not bandwidth intensive: scrabble for example) and the other two I use for downloading and surfing. I can build a fourth pc to use as a dedicated server and hook the directpc up to it. I can also switch the network over to 10baseT if necessary. All three computers would be online at the sametime. Is this possible and how would I go about getting it to work? I have never been able to get online games to work through programs like proxy+, just browsers, realplayer and such. If I keep the server online all the time, can I connect to it with the client pcs and get the same type of connection that I do dialing up through a modem. As you can tell, fooling with networking has never been my speciality, so any help would be greatly appreciate.
