On Thursday, October 11, to support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund a number of restaurant chains will be participating in a fund raising event. Every meal purchased in one of the participating restaurants that day benefits relief efforts and the victims and their families affected by the tragic events of 9/11. 100% of the days profits will be donated to the Relief Fund as part of the national Dine Out for America Project.

Dine Out for America participants include a variety of America's favorite restaurants including Darden (Red Lobster, The Olive Garden), Outback Steakhouse, Inc. (Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Roy's, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Lee Roy Selmon's), Brinker International (Chili's Grill & Bar, On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, Romano's Macaroni Grill), Carlson Restaurants Worldwide (T.G.I.Friday's, Pick Up Stix, Samba Room and other CRW brands), Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, Inc. (Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, Sullivan's Steakhouse, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House), Restaurants Unlimited (Kincaid's, Palomino), Claim Jumper Restaurants and Friendly Ice Cream Corp.

Go out, have a great meal and help the relief effort.

I can't afford any of those places...I'll donate the value of whatever I have for dinner tomorrow night to the $50 I've already given...Make sure one of you holds me to that :)
