DIMM1 slot not working

I have an ASUS K8V mobo, DIMM2 and DIMM3 work just fine, I moved ram around and its not the stick of memory, any idea why the first slot doesnt work? Or anything I should look into.
 
This is not unusual with motherboards. If you have purchased it recently you could return it. Otherwise you will just have to work around the bum slot.
