I have been posting less and less recently... It seems like no intellectual debates are going on, or nearly as many as there used to be.
Such threads as

These threads are just evidence for the diminishing thread quality :D

Well duh, you forgot the poll so we could vote! ;)

And Sephorith_IX is cool, he usually does not post stuff like that.

I think he was trying to make a valid point which you, yourself, have just confirmed.

I imagine the lack of quality has something to do with the new features of the forum - the polls and new member status based on the number of posts. These new features tend to encourage shorter, less thought-provoking comments.

Wanna start another religious or philosophical discussion like: "What is the Purpose of Life?"

The purpose of life? That's easy. Sex, drugs and rock & roll.

"We cannot define anything precisely. If we attempt to, we get into that paralysis of thought that comes to philosophers, who sit opposite each other, one saying to the other, 'You don't know what you are talking about!' The second one says 'What do you mean by know? What do you mean by talking? What do you mean by you?', and so on. " --- The Character of Physical Law; Richard P. Feynman, Theoretical Physicist, 1918-1988.

UG,
I saw Richard Feynman on a TV special, about 1984 as I recall, and wrote into my memory one of the things he said. Unfortunately my memory is fading and I never writ it anywhere else, so the quote is not guaranteed exact.

"I had to learn to be satisfied with being able to find the answers that I have, and knowing that I can't find them all."

Even though he was talking about quantum stuff, that was a turning point in my life, to realize that the answers to life the universe and everything, are and will be incomplete.

Here's to Richard Feynman.

BTW, your last name isn't Lee is it? :)
