Here are Google's definitions ... Not all are applicable, but well definitions 1 - 4, 5, 6, 8.

Dimes' own definition: ASes (acronym for "Autonomous System" which represent ISPs and other large networks which form the Internet) and AS links found by the top agents in the last week and since DIMES started on September 1st. 2004.as found here.

This is great... Looks like we have picked up some crunchers on this project. If you havnt loaded one, try it, takes very very little CPU and runs nicely with other crunchers which do.
