I hadn't re-installed DIMES after my rig upgrade 3mths ago ,thought about time I should, anyway I found that v4.3b just didn't start up,turns out the latest Java upgrade kills it!.
That probably explains why their are only 5 out of 99 people active in this project!:Q

For those new to this project it takes almost 0% CPU power ,what it does take is a little internet bandwidth which it uses to map the net (it's goal).

Download new client here ,link for more info there too.
Tried it & it does fire up now:)...............just gotta remember my password now!

Oh I'm ranked 27th ,try & catch me if you can! :p

How about you Ray?

I must admit I'm not yet  ,but only cos I can't remember my password & the DIMES email add given by the client itself is dead!:p
I'll try emailing them from their website add ,assuming its different.....

I wasted alot of time trying to get dimes to play nice with comodo, or the other way around.

Comodo blocks the ping returns from dimes and so while I would still continue to recieve credit from the project, Im not really doing anything for the science. The client just thinks that any and all packets it sends out are not responded to.

Maybe I'll give it another go. Might head over to the comodo website and see if they have anything to say.

Comodo? is that a firewall?
Try the DIMES forum too ,they have info there on many popular firewalls.

I know I had to let my firewall (Sygate) allow a part of windows to access the net before DIMES gave me any score.
