Any Dell experts here? I am buying a PC for my cousin and if I customize & build the E520 vs the 9200, the price only varies by $100, with the 9200 being more expensive.

Is there any advantage to getting the 9200 over the E520?

One note: E520 comes with WXP MCE, 9200 comes with XP Home. That is the only difference.

Thats what I am trying to find out. Dell doesnt specify which kind of mobo they put it..

As for size, from the pic they both look like the same chassis... But with only a pic of the front view, who knows?

Where's the poll? Sometimes Dell does silly things like this, take the cheaper one. Does it really matter that much?

Search their website by model number, filter by "Documentation", look at the service manual. It will have all the information you need.

This is an old thread, but...

The 9200 has a larger case and its motherboard has more expansion slots. I have an XPS 410 (same as 9200) and it has 4 drive bays in the front, 6 PCI slots (3 PCI, 1 x16, 1 x8, 1 x4), 10 USB and a 375W PSU. The E series have 3 drive bays in front, 4 PCI slots, 8 USB and 305W PSU. The 9200/XPS 410 also has gigabit ethernet.
