Urgh. Neither doe Dell sell AMD CPUs in big volumes nor is dual-core interesting for Dell.

At the end of the fiscal year they want to present high sales volume and low amount of computers lying around in stock. For the flash-loving shareholders that is much more important than the detail of whether they made a profit on a few computers less or more. They obviously made enough overall profit this time already so they push elsewhere.
