hello all, im building a new system and i really need help choosing a case.

i ordered everything except the case:
amd 64 3700+
dfi lanparty 250gb ut nf3
1 gb corsair ram twinx ddr550 - pc4400
geforce 6800 ultra (evga one)
seagate 120gb sata drive
lite-on dvd rw (sohw-1633s)
antec true control 550w
hyundai ld90+ monitor 19" lcd
zalman 7700 hsf

now the thing is, i am not sure what case will fit this heat sink fan. in case you don't know what it is, its a really huge circular hsf, http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20041213/index.html

ive tried searching on the web, but i can not find any answers what cases will fit that fan with that motherbaord !

do any of you have this hsf + mobo and have a good case for it?

i know my options arent really grand, but the kind of case i would want is 1 fan on back top (not the psu), 1 fan in front bottom, and 1 side fan, a window would be kinda cool!

but really ill take any half decent case that can fit this setup

someone please help! :(

oh and 1 other quick q, i ordered my 3700+ for 435 off of newegg like 1 week ago, and now the price is 335 for it >

do you think i can call newegg and ask for some sort of full refund / money back? i hope so. i also lookedat their refund polcy and it says that its 15% restocking fee at current market value..

so that means that 15% times 335 is 50 dollars, so that means i would only get back 384 dollars (434-50). but even if that did happen, i could return it, and rebuy it, and still have an extra 50 bucks left over, (instead of having lost the entire 100 dollars if i didnt return it)

what do you guys think? =

sorry for the length post, i tend to type ALOT more when i am sort of smoked up

I think you are hosed regarding the cpu. Most likely they will offer you 15% off the CURRENT price not off the price you bought it for. Not sure though so it won't hurt to ask.

Regarding the case, you are going to have to find a case where there is a space between the top of the board and the power supply. I'm not sure exactly how much clearance is needed though. Hopefully someone around here has a 7700 and can offer advice.

Good luck.

can't help ya with the cpu return thing, good luck.

as for the hsf, check zalmans site for the mobo. the case shouldn't be an issue. its big and brings it tight to the psu frame but i haven't heard anyone saying it doesn't fit. mines on a mATX board in a coolermaster case.

as for the case, you really gotta do the looking yourself for that as everybodys taste is different. newegg has he best galleries to browse imo, thats where i got my coolermaster praetorian.

someone else might know of a case that has that fan config stock or mod the side panel on one you like.

good luck. and welcome. sweeet rig!

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS !!!!!!

I love this Lian-Li PC7 in the 100 dollar range...Front and rear 120m/m fans with 80m/m blow hole and window.

This is the updated PC65...No removable motherboard tray...But I really like this case for the money.
