it's pretty clever...it's exactly like the comics, but TV form!

 
They did a good job on the show, with the humor and character voices. Pretty much an extension of the strip. I watched it on Hulu as well, though I'd see a few episodes before on TV years ago.
 
I watched it about two years ago -- and I agree, way underratted.

I really wish adult swim would pick up more forgotten adult targeted cartoons and drop that tim and eric crap.
