Ok no cookie i lied. But here's the question, if you had to choose between a 6MP low noise sensor and a 8MP slightly noisier sensor, all alse being equal, which would you choose?

You'd be very dissapointed with a 50 dB image sensor.

Even cheapish digicams get around 60 dB.

Why not? You'd get better signal to noise ratio if the sensor is not noisy.
