last quarter's record profits are the result of board partners (asus/msi/giga listed, 10 partners total) having to buy the massive backstock of 10series cards in order to get priority allotment for the 20series. downturn in crypto seemingly burns the aib companies again.

i imagine there should be some serious discounts on 10series card incoming.

Hoping to pickup an EVGA 1080TI FTW for cheap. I had a couple but sold them for cost during the mining craze.

With the prices of the RTX series, it will turn out OK for the board partners. I'm confident those partners are seeing increased sales now, especially of the 1080 Ti and 1060.

Story was posted days ago, and was picked up by a few news sites, and has already been in multiple threads.

It sounds like they are being forced to buy product they signed a contract for, which is otherwise known as how the world works:
https://www.techspot.com/news/76103-nvidia-putting-squeeze-aib-partners.html
"...it says Nvidia is forcing "more than 10 graphic card makers" to "swallow contracted shipments released by Nvidia to deplete its inventories..."

"Forcing" partners to honor the contracts they signed? EVIL!!!!

Next we'll have a thread on "Nvidia forces partners to pay their bills!"

This could be nice for consumers if those partners will be forced to create a good supply of 1080 tis at decent prices.
