Availability may be a problem, pricing may be a bit higher than comparable systems, but hands-down, just awesome for computers with TOSLink (optical) outputs and DVD/home theaters. Highly recommend it, and so does AnandTech. Search for their review on their site for this setup. They don't call it the "Ferrari" of speakers for nutt'n.

I've read up about it many times. I just want to get more people's opinion about the speakers. It's a lot of money so I don't want to get a set that has problems or anything like that.

What sort of problems were you expecting? For that kind of money, you won't be disappointed! You can use them for home theatres as well, they are THAT good.

They sell them in the US for $300 USD, and yet they are manufactured in England. I would assume that in England they would be cheaper. Their original retail value at launch was 700USD, so its come quite a bit down from there.

They are actually among the best computer speakers available now, and offer DTS, something which I think the Klipsch's don't do, correct me if I'm wrong there.

They use Audax drivers for their speakers, which is a decent, respectable mid-range French driver manufacturer. Audax are famous for their Aerogel drivers, but I think the Videologics are using their lower end paper drivers, other than the subwoofer, which uses an 8" HDA Aerogel driver. A potential problem with this system is its center channel speaker. Its constructed in the same cabinet as the processor, and is a single driver speaker, and as such will not be able to extend much into the high frequency range. Expect a high frequency cutoff of 15KHz or less...

Or better yet, ask you local retailer if they can order it from them directly. You may be liable for duties if any are charged.

So does the Klipsch promedia DD 5.1 have that cutoff of high freq like the Digitheatre DTS? And How much would those run? Don't mean MSRP but what AT can get it for.

I guess I shouldn't have used the term "cut off". Its more like, it probably won't be able to extend much into the high frequency range. That's only for the DigiTheater's center channel though. The satellites have separate tweeters and so should be good to 20KHz. The center channel maybe reaches up to 15KHz, then would go way below -3dB after that. I'm just guessing though, I haven't seen the frequency response graphs.

As for the Klipschs, since all 5 satallites have horns, they will definitely be able to reproduce the highs, and might even be considered as forward or bright to many...

Yeah I know, that's what I said. The center channel however uses a single 3" cone driver IIRC.
