I'm thinking of buying a :
http://www.olympusamerica.com/....asp?product=1277&fl=5
and i was wondering what is your general overall experience is with voice recorders? This is for a college classroom setting. I've herd nothing but bad experiences such as:
1. horrible volume when recording unless its sitting on the professor's desk
2. Too much extra noise
3. No time outside to listen to a recorded lecture, again
................................................................................
Anyways, i was wondering if anyone tried using the newer digital voice recorders from Sony or Olympus in a classroom and how well it turned out? Did you try voice to text software? How did that turn out? I've already read all the reviews on amazon but there aren't a lot of them except one praising review on the Olympus DS40 on amazon.com.
