Hello all, I am a new member and need some help on a new computer I built. Everything went well and is running great but I just got a new LCD monitor that may have revealed a problem with my onboard graphics on my new motherboard. I had been using the VGA connection with no problem. I went to use my new monitor using DVI and the picture is all pixelated and primarily green in color. I tested the DVI cable and monitor on another computer and it seems to work fine. I then tried a HDMI cable and got the same bad picture. The only thing that works is the VGA out. My system is as follows....

Motherboard with onboard video: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 640
Memory: CORSAIR XMS3 4GB
Windows 7 pro 64 bit
Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks, Pfitz

HDMI = DVI, so my gut feeling is that there is something wrong with the mobo, it may be defective. However...

First be sure you have installed the L&G chipset drivers. If the problem persists, update the BIOS if there is a newer version.

If it's still not resolved, go into Device Mangler and disable each instance of High Definition Audio. If this resolves the issue, re-enable each instance of HD Audio until you find the one causing this issue. But this one is a long-shot...

Slugbait,

My BIOS is up to date but what is the "L&G chipset drivers"? is this just the video drivers?
