I've been asked by a company to recommend a DVE suite for them, prefferably PC & windows based (though they were curious about buying a mac for it), to handle editing high quality stuff for presentations, and possibly for handing out to TV stations for broadcast.
The only problem is that I barely know anything about DVE. I've been looking at some Pinnacle gear (namely the DV500), and also the Matrox RT2000, but they are really the only two that I know about. Can anyone help me out here? Point me to a product or two, some reviews maybe? 🙂
Connections with the camera aren't a problem; the issue of a camera is still open-ended as they haven't bought one yet. They just know they want high-quality, and digital.
