yeah, nice to have the option, but when your playing video's all the time i dont really want spidermans costume to blind the viewers.
I never did get digital vibrance with the Nvidia cards, I tried it but i dident really like it. At least people cant go,,,,,,,,yeah, my card enhances colours and yours dosoent. Dot then agaion it does look different so they might do that anyway.

I turn my vibrance to about 10% it makes things look a lot nicer, any more than 20% and it starts to look cartoonish though. A little vibrance doesn't make videos look bad at all.

i agree, i use it on very low and it makes all the colors look more vibrant (go figure?), even in videos.

Nope. I have it turned up for my desktop as we speak. You can see the changes right as you move the slider and you can move the slider in icrements of 1 for fine tuning.

I'm guessing it only works for X1K cards, boo!

What about games?

Yep. Just maxed it out and turned on Warcraft and it transfered over.

Sweet, now all ATi needs to do is support custom resolutions + refresh rates like nVidia drivers do and it will be perfect.

If they do everything perfect, the video forum will die :(

I used DV for a awhile on my 6800GT. It was kinda cool Of course only on very low settings. I then noticed I started getting headachaes cause of it haha. Turning it off quickly solved that issue.

I like to turn down the gamma and turn up the digital vibrance a little bit. Makes the colors look stunning. The colors are not truly correct, but man, they look good on an LCD.

So, can you get "vibrance" for X800 series cards?

I still don't understand why anyone would *want* it (all it does is screw up the color balance/saturation...), but it looks like it is available in some fashion in the 5.13 drivers (at least for the X1XXX cards).

Set at 125% looks better on 2405 FPD here. Any higher and the pallete starts to blend together which is very bad. ATi cards always looked washed out compared to NV for this reason. to ATi for *finally* implementing this. Sadly, a five year old lappie with GF2GO has DV.

I agree the oversaturated videos look bad but you can set the saturation levels of the video output independantly of the desktop 2D. Ditto for 3D. DV looks stunning in games.
