Digital Signature in web application

I am working on developing a web-based application to allow the medical results for our patients to be available on a website. I want to be able to have the physicians digitally sign the results. I just haven't found a decent way to do this yet. I am working in ASP.NET and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
