So apparently the new instance Zul'Gurub has provided a means for mass death in the realms. The final boss can spread a disease that will damage you periodically, but if you teleport out you can still spread it. Ironforge, Stormwind, Orgrimmar, Undercity, and Darnasuss are death traps for low level players. I think it is very funny. Sweet accidental world event.

People still play this game? I left back when the Shadows were still terrorizing people and their spires were appearing all over (were they ever defeated?)

Yes millions of people are "still" playing this game. I don't even know what you're referring to in your post

Oh crap, my bad. I read 'Azeroth' and my head thought 'Asheron'--thought this was about Asheron's Call. Silly me, of course this is about WoW, and yes, I spose millions still are playing it!

So I quit WoW a few months ago, it got dull and such and such. Now I'm thinking about starting up EQ (the first one) again. I like the darkness and difficulty of EQ compared to WoW. That and the more fully developed world and larger array of classes and characters. In that respect I'm hoping that D&D Online will be a good successor to EQ, I've heard that EQ2 isn't very good.

I agree WoW is dull once you hit 60, I quit for about 6 months. I hear they are previewing the expansion at blizzcon. I think they are adding a continent or two. There was a site I saw once which explained all the lore and instances and stuff, it was a good read. Also BlizzCon tickets get a free murloc pet. *blaugruguue* I love the murloc gurgle sound. Makes me smile whenever I hear it. I used to despise that sound when I was level 10 near goldshire.

EQ1 was good back at about the 2nd expansion. After that its like they just craked out expansions to sell more and more the world is freaking HUGE now. It makes it impossible to do anything.

EQ2 bombed horribly. They copied alot from WoW. Plus it was sooo funny when they released the game 2 weeks before WoW because they KNEW it wasn't going to be that popular.

D&D online sounds interesting but I for one am having WAY too much fun with WoW. Especially with the new content they just added. PVP, Zul'Garat(sp) etc etc

ZUl'Gurub was a blasted. I never put so much effort into dying over and over again to figure out how to defeat the bosses. :)
