What are people finding to be the average cost per print of dye sublimation printers these days? As I understand it, the dye-sub printers are the way to go - tell me if I'm wrong.

I've been looking into getting a digital photo printer for a while, but have held off because I haven't been able to find one that has a reasonable performance and a reasonable cost per print.

Dye sub's use to be cost effective after the initial cost of the Printer but with todays inkjest performance, prices and cost of ink being reasonable I would look in that direction
 


Dye subs are especially used in the event photography business for their quality, longetivity of prints and customers see Kodak on back of the paper.

For most people the Canon i series is fine. Photos have longevity if properly stored and print quality is excellent
