I figured some of you guys might know if there is anything on the market for digital photo frames that allows pictures to be displayed on a frame without a computer, usb, flash card or internet connection. Basically exactly like the Presto Printer from HP, but only dealing with displaying pictures in the frame. Does a service like this exist?

Don't know of any that don't use a flash memory device/media card for input.

there are some with internal memory.

why do you need to use it without a computer, usb, flash card, or internet connection?

Even with internal memory, you still must have a way to transport images from media to that memory. Why would anyone want one that cannot be updated from a camera media chip?

I'm with everyone else on this. I have no clue what a Presto Printer is, but if you were printing something to it, you'd need to connect SOMETHING to the printer so it knows what to print. That will almost always be a USB, printer, flash, network or direct camera connection. So, what type of connection are you expecting for the picture frame?

EDIT: If you wanted, you could load photos onto a memory card, stick it in the frame and never remove it.

Thanks for the replies guys. A presto printer is a printer that a person can plug into their phone line and receive pictures and emails automatically from family and friends (WHO HAVE COMPUTERS) without the recipient needing a computer or internet connection. Its made so that people who don't want a computer can still stay in touch. I was wondering if anyone made a photo frame that did this through a wireless service, or I suppose I should have mentioned a phone line connection would be the next best option.

OK - I understand - just never heard of such a printer. So what you want is a Presto Digital Frame.

Looks like this could be a start . . .
