I just installed my cambridge soundworks fps2000s. Yes they are attached to a software audio codec sound card. Yes, you can cry now. Anyways, it came with a digital out bracket with an svideo looking connector. Supposedly that only works with the live. I think its for spdif out or something, does the value or x-gamer have that, or does it only work with the original and the platinum? Also what is optical out? I think its for minidiscs but would that do anything for my fps2000s? Also for any of you who have an fps 2000 (mine was from an overstock at my dad's work so they were returned) and mine were missing the adapter to turn the digital out cable to a rca looking connector. What does that plug into? I can get the adapter, so i'm wondering, i dont have a 4 point capable sound card, so if i get the adapter and plug it onto the digital cable can i use all 4 speakers as a regular 2.1 system? Anyways thanks if anyone can help

the digital out bracket is only for the live; it only sends the 4.1 signals from the live to the cambridge soundworks speakers
i do not think the fps2000's will understand the digital output from anything besides a sb live

have you considered getting a simple 1:2 headphone splitter from radioshack (that lets 2 people listen to a walkman at the same time) and then just plugging both into the fps2000 analog inputs?
