Digital LCD Displays

Considering the quality of Apples Studio Display, wouldn't you think the rest or the industry would follow suit? Right now if wanted that same quality I would have to buy their display and also buy an adapter so that it can be hooked up to my PC and considering apples prices the extra $200 above the cost of the monitor isn't justified. I think that the PC community should petition the LCD display makers to come out with at least a 15-inch fully digital display that uses only the dvi port. I'm sure that they will sell more of these than they would sell their analog output displays. What do you think?

<<15-inch fully digital display that uses only the dvi port>>

Yea lets limit the product user base, yeay

Non apple LCDs look great too, plus most are dual input (analog and DVI)

Planar, Dell, SGI, Samsung, .....

Have you only seen other brands in the monitor farm at compusa? everything looks like cr@p on a 16 way splitter

You seem to be under the false impression that being DVI only would improve the quality of LCDs. It wouldn't. You can get the exact same quality of display for you pc since there are montors that use the same lcd panel used by the Apple cinema displays but aren't made by apple.

When I saw a PC hook up to one of these apple displays it had the best quality that I had ever seen on an LCD display and I used to sell them. Maybe digital isn't the only reason that it looked better, but I was under the impression that it was. Coming out with an optimized product dosen't mean that they are limiting any thing, people buy quality when they see it.
