Digital Hinote Ultra 2000 Laptop issues

I'm trying to set up a donated Digital HiNote Ultra 2000 laptop for use running Windows 98. The unfortunate problem is that I received the laptop as a donation from a corporate wholesale, but this laptop has the Supervisor password set in the BIOS. I've googled all that I can think of, but can't find a way to disable the password. If anyone has any recommendations (I've already tried removing all batteries, including RTC and bridge batteries), please let me know.

Thanks much!

I know on the Dell's, there is a master password. So perhaps you should look around for that or maybe give them a call (if they are still in business).

Well, amazingly, I managed to find procedures on the web to remove the supervisor password. It required disassembling basically the whole laptop down to the motherboard, soldering a couple of wires onto the EEPROM chip, reassembling, shorting wires while powering up laptop, disassemble, desolder wires, reassemble laptop. Took me back to microelectronics class in college, and I KNEW my magnifier and soldering iron would come in handy again. It was quite nice to not only attempt this, but actually succeed without rendering the laptop totally useless.
