Was wondering if anybody uses or has seen one of these Digital Doc

I have replaced all the fams in my case with L1A's and would like to control them all for max cooling when I need it and the least amount of noise when I don't. Does this seem like a good solution?

Thanks

Thanks

It would be a pretty good solution, but you'll have to get 3 pin connectors for you Panaflows. I know you can get them at pcmods.com

I have one and I have been using it for a while. It does create a lot of wires running all over your case so if that nuts you up then the Doc is probably not for you.

I thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread for about six months, then it was just ehhhh. It is nice to know what your fans are doing and what the temps are in various spots inside (or outside your case).

You can have the Doc turn your fans on at a certain temp but one fan is activated by one heat probe. Since you allways want the fan on your heatsink on it doesn't do you much good there. The number one fan is the small 40mm fan built into the Doc. If you want one probe to turn on all your fans (or more then one) it won't do that. I hope I didn't confuse the crap out of you.

I have been pleased with mine, but the wires are nutting me up. I am going to a fan bus to power all my fans. You can build a rheo bus or a switched bus if you just want fan control and don't really care about temp monitoring.

If you have any more questions or I have confused the crap out of you please let me know and I will do my best to un confuse you

Thanks

I think that is just what I was looking for. What I was thinking about doing was setting one of the intake fans and one of the exhaust fans to switch on at a higher temp. That way while I am just surfing the net or not on the computer not all the fans are running. When I start playing a game of whatever and the box gets hot, then they should kick on and get my temps back where I want them.

Sounds like I will get one. Need to fill that last bay anyway ;)

Im actually planning on getting rid of mine. If your case is black let me know (since I painted it black). Remember once probe will turn on one ,unless you have two connected together and I dont think the Doc will handle the juice.

I just got one of the black Cyberpower sx1030. I have all the fan slots filled so having each fan controlled by it's own sensor won't be a problem. Let me know what you want for it.

Thanks!!

I have removed my digital doc 5. I am looking for the temp probe wires. You will probably have to get a couple of three pin fan connectors to connect your fans to the digi doc since I hacked mine up. If you want the doc and the shipping is cheap it is yours.

Can any of the Digital Doc owners comment on its compatibility with non-RPM fans such as the Panaflo family? My understanding was that it will continuously sound its "dead fan" alarm if the fan is drawing power but not generating an RPM signal. Panaflo fans can take a 3-wire connector, but the third wire does NOT signal RPM, it signals rotor lock (as in, fan not turning at all). So let's hear from some DigitalDoc + Panaflo owners on this... is it an issue?

So, I guess you got your Fan bus? How did it come out? I also have all panaflo's so it's good to know that the alarm can be turned off :)

I just got the last parts for my fan bus. Ill post pics if you want. I finished the "carbon fiber" mod to my drives and blank plates on my Lian-Li case and I really didnt need the doc so I removed it.

Ive got the CD with the instruction manual for the Doc so Ill dig that up and send it to ya as well.

Yeah, I would like to see some pics. Sounds like a good job. Whatever you have for the d/d is great. It will give me a good starting point to set this up.

Thanks again!
