Digital Doc 5 - Fan Question

All of my fans in my case use 4-pin headers, how can i get them to work with my Digital Doc 5? Looks like i need a 4-3 pin Male to Female adaptor, is there such a thing?

I thought I saw a place with them once, but was unable to find it just now. You could use 3 pin extension cables, but it would require cutting your wires and you would lose the rpm monitoring function of the Digital Doc anyway on those fans. Your best bet is just to buy new 3 pin fans I'm afraid.

They do make 4-to-3 pin adapters. Found one here. I had to use one for my Dell PowerEdge 1300 when I installed a 2nd CPU. The motherboard only came with 1 CPU fan connector, so I got an adapter and ran the 2nd CPU fan off the power supply. It works great 🙂
