digital connection from s/card to decoder

I've got an Audigy Platinum and a set of Cambridge DTT 3500 speakers and im having trouble connecting them digitally. The card has a 'minijack' digital output while the decoder has both an SPDIF RCA input and a DIN input for digital. With the unit i got a minijack to female DIN/female rca as well as a male rca to male rca. However, these will not connect the two units digitally. Anyone with these or similar hardware care to help?
